You grew up seeing these gorgeous people on TV and in magazines, which the world seemed to rotate around. You get lost in the photoshoots, model poses, and their runway walks. In your mind, you think, “That could be me!” and you believe it fully! Until you realize, no one…. on this screen….. has brown skin like you…..
You take a moment and think but why not? Are black women not beautiful? Who makes these rules…. Who sets the standards that define beauty?

She hits the runway and changes the game, literally! You look at her, and you have hope. Because of her, you feel empowered to pursue this passion, and because of you, other young black women will feel the same.

Jianna confidently pursues her passion with a down-to-earth personality, knowing the opposition she may face due to her height, features, or race. This isn’t enough to stop her, though, as rejection is always a part of the process. As one chapter of trial and error ended for Jianna, a fresh chapter of pay off began when she was signed to Posche Models International Agency.(Hard work and consistency pay off!)
Jianna’s goal is “to become a successful black model who shows other black women that may not meet the current standards or expectations of modeling; that it is possible and regardless of what the media says, you are beautiful.” (This isn’t a teardrop, someone’s cutting onions)
