What Sparked Your Passion?
“When I was in high school I would always make home made masks and lip scrubs just for fun with natural ingredients in my home. Last year during the pandemic before I got furloughed from my job I realized being on a plane majority of my day was drying out my skin. So I began to continuously make facial serums, hydration toners, and masks to keep my skin (and also those who travel a lot) always hydrated, moisturized, and most of all Sunkissed.“
What Keeps You Motivated on this Journey?
“I would say that my parents are my biggest motivation on this journey of being an entrepreneur. My parents came to Brooklyn in the early 90s from Dakar, Senegal and opened up a restaurant that has been operating for over 25 years. They have taught me that no matter how much the odds are stacked against you always fight for what you want and your passion.”
Any Challenges You’ve Faced In This Pursuit? How Have You Overcome Them?
“A obstacle I have faced in the beginning of my journey was Social Media. Living in this day and age where social media is now apart of our daily lives, being a business owner means you must be up to date. Naturally first I began to compare my business to others and wasn’t happy with the way my social for Sunkissed would come out. The way I overcame this obstacle was by realizing social media doesn’t show you the trials and tribulations of how they become successful only the end result of the success. I recognized that being a business owner, you’re going to face obstacles in order to reach the level of success I want to achieve.”
What’s Your End goal?
“My end goal is to have my products in spas, hotels and general merchandise stores such as target.”
