Growing up in a home of artists, you’re pretty exposed to that realm, right? But with art being such a broad & creative realm, where do you start? With a canvas? A coloring pencil? Crayons?
But…wait…What if you develop an additional passion, one that is more dedicated to sports? What…do…you…do? Some of us may choose one & forget the other, but for others like Jasmaine Jackson, this is a creative opportunity!
Jasmaine is a creative artist who has decided to blend her 2 passions & become a sports graphic editor for aspiring professional athletes! Originally, Jas was drawn(no pun intended) to art not only by the influence of her family but because it was a release. In Jas’ words, “Art was an outlet, an escape to deal with trauma.” As for sports, mainly football, it quickly became something she couldn’t take her eyes off of. So what did she do? She combined both passions one day & from the palm of her hand, she created a sports edit just for fun.
This edit was for a young athlete who was recruited to the University of Miami & later uploaded it to Twitter. To her surprise, this edit blew up! Athletes, fans & even the university were retweeting it! From this point, Jas knew exactly what it was she wanted to do, but catch this…she didn’t stop there!
Not long after enhancing her edits, Jas began another project called “9:18” which is a fashionable clothing brand with a message that may be unique to you alone. (Oh, the creativity!!!) With an approach like that, we are sure Jasmaine will excel & are excited to see the merch!
