Who doesn’t love a good event? Actually, read this and then take a second to close your eyes & visualize -> You walk inside a warehouse, headed towards the sound of music. In a dim lit hallway that ends with a brighter light, you see little notes on the walls with kind messages like “love all” or “you matter”…..you exit the hallway to enter a space of creativity, impact & acceptance….here everyone is vibing to music, as they welcome you with a genuine smile upon eye contact….internally, you begin to feel a sense of comfort…& the thought of “who did this?” crosses your mind….. you look up to the stage as you are vocally thanked for your attendance, by the musical artist & the host, Pablo Grand!
What Is It That You Do?
Curate events here in miami for local artists. Events such as one I created called the “Knockout mic” in which 8 artists (4 guys & 4 girls) of similar sounds would come & perform. Judges would select the top 3 & from there, the audience chooses 1 winner to receive the money from the door..
What Sparked Your Passion?
“I saw that artist were getting charged $300- $500 to perform for 10 minutes which can be counterproductive for them. I realized that if I found artist who were marketing themselves, I could help by providing them with not only an audience (at a fair cost) but also a safe environment for them to perform.”
Any Challenges You’ve Faced In This Pursuit? How Have You Overcome Them?
“At one point i realized this was a lot to replicate in a simple manner because it all took a lot of resources. Another challenge was learning how to work with & trust other people who may be able to add more value to certain aspects of our events. At one point seeing others mimic my shows but understanding that this meant I was doing something right. “
What’s Your End goal?
“Redefine culture. Recently I converted my life to Christ. Had a mental picture of what religion was. Took the time to approach God & Christ with a spiritual awareness at my own time. With this I will continue to make powerful, & inspirational holy music that doesn’t seem cheesy.”
